Chief Executive Officer
Gregory Solometo co-founded Alliance Nursing in 2006 and serves as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Solometo oversees the day-to-day operations and strategy for Alliance Nursing and is committed to providing patients with an elite and highly qualified team of healthcare professionals.
Prior to starting Alliance Nursing, Mr. Solometo has worked primarily in the financial services industry. Most recently, he worked as a Lean Process Engineer at Deutsche Bank where he provided strategic consulting services to various divisions of the Investment Banking structure and it’s operations in the US and abroad.
Mr. Solometo graduated from Emory University in 1995.
Mr. Solometo was raised around the healthcare industry in a family who owned and operated a medical supply company. At an early age, he was taught the importance of client care and customer satisfaction which was needed to excel in the healthcare business. Mr. Solometo looks forward to providing the same premium level of professionalism and service he was taught his entire life.
Director of Patient Services
Michele Teter co-founded Alliance Nursing in 2006 and serves as the Director of Patient Services. In this capacity, she works with doctors and families to develop an appropriate care plan specific to the patient’s needs.
For the past seventeen years, Ms. Teter has worked at Columbia’s NY Presbyterian Medical Center on the Neurosurgical ICU. There she is responsible for the care of critically ill patients who are often mechanically ventilated and maintained on several cardiac drips. Her continuous assessment of the patient and ability to recognize a change directly impact the plan of care. Ms. Teter is also a Charge Nurse and Preceptor to new staff. As a Charge Nurse and Preceptor, her responsibilities include teaching and helping new nurses to apply their expanded knowledge in a variety of clinical settings.
In 2008, Ms. Teter attained her CCRN and is now held to the highest standard of critical care.
Ms. Teter started her career at Nyack Hospital where she spent one year on a Medical Surgical floor and managed the care of 8-12 patients at a time.
Ms. Teter received a BS in Nursing at Dominican College in 1995.
Ms. Teter initiated homecare work approximately ten years ago and has brought her vast experience into the homes of many acute and chronically ill patients.
Chief Operating Officer
Justin Kohn started his career at Alliance Nursing in 2011 and became a partner in 2013. Currently Mr. Kohn serves as the Chief Operating Officer reporting to the CEO. As the Chief Operating Officer Mr. Kohn leads a team of people responsible for the daily operations of the company ensuring that Alliance Nursing offers the highest level of service and care in the home care industry.
Mr. Kohn is also responsible for the financial wellbeing of the company, including capital and operating budgets, financial affairs, cash flow management, and reporting.
Prior to starting at Alliance Nursing, Mr. Kohn worked primarily in the banking industry. Most recently, he worked as a financial underwriter in the premium finance division of Wintrust Financial, funding over a half a billion dollars in fully secured loans over 4 years.
Mr. Kohn graduated with Bachelors in Arts Degree from The University of Colorado, Boulder in 2007.
Home Care Manager
Jessica Golen began working with Alliance Nursing as a per diem RN and now serves as the Home Care Manager. As Home Care Manager, she supervises all home health aide cases in New York City. Jessica communicates with all home health aides on a consistent basis and manages the plan of care specific to each patient.
Jessica received her nursing degree from Saint Vincent’s College in Bridgeport, CT and will complete the RN to BSN program at Saint Anselm College in December, 2013. Prior to working with Alliance, Jessica had clinical experience working on a medical surgical unit at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.
Home Care Coordinator
Amy Clow serves as the Home Care Coordinator for Alliance Nursing and is the key point of contact throughout the scheduling process. Amy also helps recruit, interview and place Home Health Aides with families.
Although Amy wears multiple hats, she spends most of her time recruiting, gathering the details of each position, confirming Home Health Aide requirements and answering any questions families and aides may have about working with Alliance Nursing. She will ensure that your schedule runs smoothly, confirm that you were given outstanding customer service throughout the process and will be your contact for all of your post-placement scheduling needs. In addition to managing our talented pool of aides, Amy consults with families on their staffing needs and, through an active dialogue, reaches creative and practical solutions to those needs.
Amy also works for Nannies of New York in a similar role as the Director of Nanny Recruiting: Amy uses her experience to match families with appropriate families and ensuring that the entire placement process runs smooth.
Amy has a Master’s degree in School Counseling and is a NYS Licensed Professional School Counselor. She enjoys working with children and their families to help create emotional, social and mental stability. Amy also does private, individual counseling and coaching sessions and runs social skills groups for kids age 2-12.
Prior to Nannies of New York, Amy worked as a set designer and stage manager on some very exciting projects in New York City.
Long Island Office Manager
Jennifer Suffa joined Alliance Nursing in early 2013 and serves as the Long Island Office Manager. Jennifer is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Long Island office. Her responsibilities include the maintenance of all of our employee’s records, inputing and managing all pertinent information into our database as well as with the Department of Health, conducting criminal history record checks and certification validations for all potential new employees. Jennifer also assists with the scheduling, interviewing and recruiting for new employees, as well as assisting our team in whatever capacity she is needed.
Before joining Alliance Nursing, Jennifer worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a high volume law practice. Prior to her legal experience, Jennifer has also assisted in the growth of an Adoption Consulting Agency specializing in designing personal profiles for prospective adoptive families. Her well developed interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with people from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds have assisted her in successfully managing and growing her own hair salon business for the past 14 years.
Compliance Office/Director of Patient Services- Long Island
Ms Arciuolo joined the team in 2012 to help our organization maintain with the Department Of Health Standards of Care. With 25 plus years of Home Care experience, Ms Arciuolo brings to the table much Home Care knowledge. She started her career in Home Care back in 1984 after learning the Nursing Processes for ICU, CCU, Respiratory Care and Medical Surgical Nursing. With a B.S.N., MS and pending PHD in Nursing Practice she has excelled as a mentor throughout her career. Ms. Arciuolo has her own Home Care Consulting Agency assisting many CHHA, LHCSA, MLTHCP and Assisted Living facilities to perform practices at their highest standards. Her responsibilities are continuous oversight of our Agency and to formulate any plans needed for compliance within the organization. Ms Arciuolo’s career in Home Care began as a field nurse in Queens, N.Y. and working her way up the ladder to Administrator of multiple Home Care Agencies and now assisting other Agencies and Nurses with teaching the Home Care processes.
Lynn Polmanteer, MS, RD, CDN, CDE is Registered Dietitian with more than 5 years of critical care experience. She is well versed in developing dysphagia diets and enteral nutrition regimens. She obtained her experience at Columbia’s NY Presbyterian Medical Center on the Neurosurgical ICU and at St. Francis Hospital in the Respiratory ICU and Cardiac ICU.
Lynn received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Michigan State University. At Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus she received her Master of Science in Nutrition with a Concentration in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology and completed her Dietetic Internship. She is currently the Senior Dietitian at the Friedman Diabetes Institute at the Division of Endocrinology at Beth Israel Medical Center. Lynn has served as a nutrition expert for media outlets including CBS and the Daily News. She serves as a health coach in one-on-one sessions, enjoys teaching her patients how to make healthier food choices, and participates in several community outreach events to raise awareness about obesity, diabetes and diabetes prevention.
